black knights and roulettes!
whoo! (: today was the last day of the inaugural singapore airshow and i went! i think the highlight of the show was seriously the aerial aerobatics display.. formation flying at such high speeds and so close to one another, plus the lovely ROARRR of the engines = love! i practically melted, both figuratively and literally! in my opinion, figher formation flying that includes pulling off all the cool maneuvers beats solo aerobatics anyday! but the pc-5 turboprop trainers, a group from aust called the roulettes were very very good too! just less noisy so less impact? and it was the last show, so tired. but their cascade/curtain was prettier than the rsaf one. btw this time, i was smart enough not to attempt to take photos, but just enjoy the experience.. i enjoyed it so much that i returned from the airshow in 2 shades of tan. lol. upper half of face is currently fairer than lower half of face, from below eyebags, which is now brown-red. must be retribution for triumphantly declaring yesterday that i don't get red, just dark! :( i think my skin went weird, nvm it's a lesson learnt that i must put sun block. lol. PLEASE make it less obvious by tomorrow!
hmm the static displays weren't that fun, especially because there was a queue to do ANYTHING interesting, like play flight sim. and we were silly :( we should have gone around looking for freebies FIRST THING. ended up we didn't get much freebies although the handphone doll thingy by ST electronics was quite cute, and got black knights stickers! the queue to get black knights goodie bags and autographed posters was just too long to bother with.
the only thing i'd like to complain about is the queue OUT OF THERE. they should make a separate road for towing aircraft to the runways and not clog up the shuttle queue! i swear with the snake-like queues that the police enforced, we probably walked 1km and definitely waited ONE HOUR PLUS to get out of that place! getting there in the morning was okay, because people came at staggered times, but they should have known that the majority of the crowd would leave at the same time! rawr. waste time.
next time go airshow, hope to be a VIP or like pilot, then can go up all the aircraft that are supposed to be "by invitation only" like the A380. but the f15s were the love also! basically fighters <3 rock.
realised i haven't blogged for quite long so i shall do a quick summary of this week!
entered a new vocation as a temporary tax officer at iras (: shall be manning the phonelines! and being very helpful :D this week was training and it's quite fun because you get paid for the breaks xP but it's tiring, so of course breaks are essential to the wellbeing of us employees. the pay is quite sad as usual, but the good thing is that there are alot of people around my age there! :D so get to talk rubbish, slack and rot together. meet new people is fun (: hehe plus meet other schoolmates who are working there too :D
not really looking fwd to work tmr, there's another test. the previous test was on tax knowledge, luckily it was mcq and cough, cross-referable between people, lol! this one is on the local computer system that we'll be using and i haven't studied. shall go there and just whack. good luck to me.
today was the most exercise i've done in a long while. whee :P
