clarke quay
today was quite interesting =D
had lunch at square2, pasta de waraku! and discussed rsaf stuff with fellow girls.. actually i think we discussed the food more than the topic, but it was yummy food~ i ate more than i expected to, and i think i won't mind visiting any of its outlets again =) infiltrated old workplace for fun, visited my friend's dept first, IITE! operation panda.. the name i coined for the impromptu infiltration.. and woah the place where we all used to be looks so sad and empty now.. there are like 2 people left where there used to be 10! =( rawr.
after that, walked my friend to the busstop and there was nothing to do! so it was between home and movie. i chose the movie: FOR NARNIAAA! haha quite exciting come to think of it, the first movie i've ever watched alone in my entire life in the cinema! The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. I dunno why so many people gush over the prince, he's cute, but only especially so when he's saving people or when he's sad.. overall, the movie was extremely worth watching! and like i said, i'd watch it all over again! alone or otherwise. and i wouldn't have minded paying $10 to watch it! it was so exciting. and i think the cry FOR NARNIA isn't as inspiring, rather cynical and.. i can't find the exact word but it has something to do with hypocritical selfishness and the like.. "For Aslan!!" is much more awesome and hope-filled! yeah.. it's also quite cool that the film was set near wartime, i kinda liked the little historical snippets they threw in. makes me want to (a) buy the dvd set when the entire chronicles is done and (b) read the books again! with historical context. made the correct choice to watch the movie =D it killed time, so it was just nice to meet colleagues for dinner, and fulfilled my desires of experiencing solo-movie-watching as well as watching narnia! happy.
we went clarke quay! and i'm glad that i did not waver, that i was disciplined =) because after dinner, we had a clarke quay tour for me: the noob who hasn't been there. it renovated a few years ago, and is pretty now! i wouldn't mind going there more often. then again, we went quite early so it was still tame and peaceful. wonder what it's like when it's supposed to be more happening, like past 10pm! which is the time we went home LOL.
sat down at the pump room, which supposedly has a cool band but it only starts playing at 1045pm =( rawr. and they ordered drinks! i wanted yakult ;P kidding. but yup i'm really glad that i stuck to my conviction not to drink outside despite the tantalising wafts of lychee martini drifting from koala's glass. it smelt really good, maybe i'll indulge in bailey's or chivas later =D never said i wouldn't drink, just not outside! but, i'm scared i'll get a tummy =X not good. hahaa, i don't need alcohol to get high!! =)
at the expense of sounding really repetitive, i think i feel a sense of accomplishment at my overwhelming mindpower and discipline! =D yay. maybe i'm just trying to make myself feel better, but it works! no succumbing to peer pressure and social pressures rox. rawr! i win. =D
