dodgy!
Dodgy is the word of the moment. It's the most used word within my og from usp camp! we were Torchio, apparently it's supposed to be obscure pasta names but for the camp it represented one of the seven deadly sins, anger. the camp was called fratello, and the theme was rather mafia-like. hmm what to say about the camp, firstly the complaints would be that the meals were lacking! except the bbq, which had marshmallows.. seriously kicked ass. but for breakfast there were no drinks! there were however, random carts of canned drinks and packet drinks like green tea and coke lying around - not very happy-fying for breakfast when people require milo.. and there was much more waiting time and stoning-around time than for my previous camp!
however, it was great fun getting to know people and play random games! haha i loved amazing race best.. i think it's the kind of activity that helps people get to know each other better than like, station games! because there are random travelling times and finding food time =D and i went clubbing for the first time in my life.. granted, it was quite boring because what i discovered (and ought to have known) was that clubbing constitutes two things: drinking and dancing. and since i stood by my principles and didn't drink, that left dancing! but the music was really quite horrible.. so i ended up stoning and watching people play pool.. was quite seh-ded! but it sorta re-ignited my love for pool! i want to know how to hit the hard shots.
games-wise, i think all camps are more or less similar! we had dirty station games on land (think fish, chilli sauce, paint), wet/beach station games, war games - used the same ammo of water bombs, but no water guns this time! prev camp had super soakers buried in the sand, and you had to dig for them :P our camp at aloha loyang clashed with SIM camp at the same venue, and since they koped the good spots, we had to walk quite far for beach games. hmm the different part about this camp was the lack of Secret Pal, although they were also funded by SDU! apparently sdu pay by the time couples spend together.. so they just grabbed random people at random times and made them pose together and pretend to be couple-y -.-" quite lame. i got caught during bbq and had to look happy eating.. oh well, not very hard considering i was holding a perfectly-bbq-ed marshmallow =P
the other differences included the well-thought-out storyline! i thought the videos were really good =) kudos to the creator.. although the ending was rather anti-climatic. hahaa. and we had some pageant thing right at the beginning where we had to dress up our chosen pageant people, and create their getaway vehicle and weapon! we had the "hellevator", and a cool trident made from some poles and 3 torches! the hellevator was actually a gardenia box.. we crossed out the "eat" and changed it to "so good, you can ride it on its own" LOL. we learnt USP mass dance and cheer too! quite fun.. but my dancing still cmi so i just anyhow moved xD
one of the more memorable experiences was fright night! because we went to some old commando camp.. i kept thinking we were at old CGH la.. so ok i told people the wrong thing, but all the same because my mind was fixated on it being old cgh, it made it damn scary for me =( i was really really terrified and screamed alot! they were EVIL, they split us up.. so we had to do stuff ALONE! it's enough being in a strange place alone, then you have to be in the dark, and people are scaring you! rawr. i don't see how people can be not scared and laugh at the ghosts.. i haven't done anything really bad, but i have no idea why i'm so scared of the dark and stuff like that! maybe i'm really scared of the dark. hahaa. at least i managed to get through it =D yay proud of myself for not stopping! or maybe, my subconscious was telling me that if i acted scared enough, they'd be nicer to me =) that must be it! because the moment i got out of the place and under the comforting street lamps, amongst people, i was perfectly fine.. or save face ;P before that, we'd watched some funny horror film that made no sense to whatever we were going to go through. haha shrugs. it wasn't scary the moment i made sense of the movie! and we took a lorry to the venue and had to climb up crumbly steps without a torchlight because our ogl forgot to tell us to bring! but it was quite fun =D
anw wanna complain about my hair! =( the fringe is so short! it's what xr used to call boy's fringe. and it's straggly coz the aunty thinned it too much.. it's ugly. so irritating.
today i had usp og outing! i organised it! haha the first outing i've organised that had quite alot of people turn up =) so i'm happy. actually probably the first outing i've organised ever! whee. they rock just for the fact that they arrived, despite the complaints about "what are we going to do?" and that Everyone of them calls me "Dodgy". i have no idea why! and a new nickname was formed during camp. ate alot. like ALOT! MOF - salmon sashimi salad and shared matcha sundae! yum. Gelare waffles at halfprice with low fat apple pie crunch yoghurt ice cream! and then dinner with mommy. pls do not eat at the asian kitchen if you crave xiaolongbao. 1. the vinegar is like soysauce that has turned sour. 2. the xlb at imperial treasure, marina sq is much better so save your money and go there instead. however, the signature fried rice with beef was not bad but i didn't like the place! haha. so i won't be going back there. actl wanted to go menotti! but it's GONE =( i was so devastated. rawr. where did it run to???
deciding whether to check into hall tmr =D i know where my room is alr tho!
